TRACK: Blue Would Still Be Bluesaw fyfe perform at hotel cafe w/ mar and about a hundred other people last night. just a smashing little show. the boy has got a voice like nothing else. seriously. and turns out he plays the piano like a madman. (in addition to knocking both of our sotd favorites [here and here] completely out of the park, he did a quarter tempo piano version of ‘fool on the hill’ by the beatles that was so complete in its stunningness that it elicited comparisons to the paleo-theological stylings of a certain birthday goat.) so, in honor of procomp and fyfe, i present my all time favorite guillemots* track. boom. -d
