*this song is also fun b/c if you 1) use a mac, 2) use the default Mail program, and 3) use the default sound set in that program, this song will make you check for new mail every 5 seconds. i don’t know if it’s the exact same as the ‘new mail’ sound, but it’s pretty close.

a fitting final audio post of the year. a glitchy, gorgeous mashup a la Girl Talk meets The Books. a little bryan adams, eminem, guns n roses and biggie. what more could you want to sum up a year of great music? -d (thanks TJ)
